Homework for American Government:

The first week of school all classes will:
Read Chapter 5 of text (pages 120-146).  Answer Section check questions: 
  • Section 1 pp 123-131.  Questions 1-7 plus critical thinking
  • Section 2 pp 132-137.  Questions 1-6
  • Section 3 pp 138-140.  Questions 1-7
  • Section 4 pp 141-145.  Questions 1-7 plus critical thinking
  • Section 5 pp 146-150.  Questions 1-5 plus critical thinking

The opening weeks' extra assignment is to choose one of the following:
  1. Write a letter to the editor of the Los Angeles Times addressing an issue which you feel very strongly for or against.
  2. Draw a political cartoon and follow up with a description of what you are trying to express.
  3. Choose civil liberty from the bill of rights and tell us how you think this is still used today.
  4. Make a list of 5 good and bad reasons for the United States to be the police force of the world.
  5. Tell the class the pros and cons of Arnold Schwarzenegger being our next governor.
